Grown - and sewn - to order
5 min read

As you know, at Oshadi Collective, we are conscious of keeping our impact as low as possible. Still, we have some excess from the cutting table. We have waste from the spinning process which we have made into our high quality recycled cotton. We do what we can. The most obvious solution is limit what we make in the first place. Only produce what is ordered. That is why we welcome custom orders. Not only does this ensure we limit our production, it also means we can ensure our custom orders are made to fit.

Our sizing goes from XS to XXL. But we know that every body is different. And sometimes one size doesn’t fit all. One of our custom clients is the London-based journalist and screenwriter Marion Hume. She has difficulty finding clothes to fit her 6’2” frame. We are very proud to have constructed a block specially designed to fit her. So far she has ordered a Hammock dress in Mandragora Ikat and a Murali Workwear jacket and Disfarmer trousers. All custom made. When she needs something else for her wardrobe, we are here for her. It gives us so much joy to know our pieces really are being worn and to receive feedback like this note from Marion:

"I get such pleasure wearing clothes that fit perfectly, that are 360 degree gorgeous - I know the regenerated ground they were grown on, the fair way they were spun and sewn, that those making them earn a fair wage, the natural dyes used to colour them - how rare and wonderful that is. I wear my Oshadi treasures with great joy.
Great experience
Perfect fit
Seamless delivery from India
5 star recommendation."

If you’d like to order something made to fit you, whatever your size, send us an email to shop@oshadi.in and we will reply with the details we need. Custom pieces are made and delivered within 2 weeks. We request payment in advance but there is no additional charge. This could be the start of a beautiful relationship!
